The majority of these poor and unhealthy habits were creating consciously. Many people adapted these habits from something they have read, somebody teaching them, or they subconsciously picked them up from seeing others in their life or forming them through laziness. Either way the nervous system’s reaction is to give in and fall into that pattern and it becomes a rewire that sticks.

Corrective Exercise

Corrective Exercise is a regimen that has a systematic approach to identify and develop a more optimal postural and movement patterns. It is about taking a current posture and movement pattern or lack thereof, and developing it into a system that moves with efficiency and ease. People develop poor habits of standing a certain way and moving in a certain way. These poor habits lead to their posture and movement not allowing them to obtain their health and fitness goals. Postural and movement issues also can lead to other problems, such as chronic tightness, decreased range of motion, and chronic discomfort.

Corrective Exercise

Proper corrective exercises should be taught and implemented by a specialist. They will be able to help you identify poor postural and mobility habits that you have formed over the years. You need to know how you stand, how you hold yourself, do your joints truly move through their entire range of motion, and so on. You need to have an understanding of how your static posture relates to your movement habits, and if your current posture and movement relates to why there may be chronic tightness, decreased range of motion, or chronic discomfort. Which all of these things can cause issues with weight loss, muscle gains, digestion, and more.
The proper corrective exercise approach should incorporate releasing of areas where there is tension and gripping. It should be about activating muscles that are inhibited, and/or altering and expanding on their movement patterns so they are optimally contributing to better posture and movement. Incorporating changes like these will begin to create improved movement patterns and posture. When you become more efficient with better movement and have better posture your health and fitness goals will be more attainable.
Corrective Exercise is about healthy habits for posture, and movement. These healthy habits will improve their ability to perform tasks within daily life, in exercises and fitness, and decrease the chances for of injuries, surgeries, or other traumas and issues. Through the use of corrective exercises, you can develop a more optimal pattern strategy for posture and movement. It’s not about correction, it is about reprogramming and moving from where you are into a more ideal place and once you learn these patterns you can work on them on your own time, and continue to improve your health and wellness.
